Rift Imbued Leather Quest

Possibly the most sought after rare recipe in Telara, and the most difficult to acquire, is that of Imbued Leather. This rare leather is used by outfitters, artificers, weaponsmiths, and armorsmiths to make their highest quality product. After many weeks of searching, we have finally found this item, and it is our pleasure to share as much information as we can about this rare leather.

Leather Quest Details

As with all leather recipes, this one should drop off any skinnable mob that produces ironhide (or possibly soulbind). Because only level 50+ animals can produce ironhide, this particular drop is very uncommon. We received our drop off a rare mob in Stillmoor, as listed above, but there are a significant number of 50th level animals in Stillmoor, Shimmersand, and Iron Pine Peaks. Any confirmation about these possible other sources would be very welcome.

Imbued Leather is one of three Rare Leather Recipe Quests available for more powerful crafting recipes. Each of these leathers require you to find a rare sample then complete a quest requiring ten of two different types of leather. The recipe then requires two leathers and a purchasable item to make the finished product. The completed product can then be used by several different crafters to make better equipment for players.

These rare leathers are, in rising order of power, Fine Leather, Reinforced Leather, and Imbued Leather, and the information we have on the Rift Quest for each can be found by following each link.

Our harvesting scouts, in continuing effort to bring the best and most useful items to the masses have discovered a cloth usable by outfitters in the creation of quality cloth armor for mages serving either the Guardians or Defiant.

Cloth Quest Details

As with all cloth recipes, we have every reason to believe it can drop from any humanoid or most undead within the appropriate level range, which, in this case should be 42-47, although it is possible it may drop as low as 36, this is unconfirmed. We received our drop in Shimmersand, but Stillmoor and possibly Iron Pine Peaks should also have the potential to drop this recipe.

Shaleweave is one of three Rare Cloth Recipe Quests available for more powerful crafting recipes. Each of these cloths require you to find a rare sample then complete a quest requiring ten of two different types of cloth. The recipe then requires two cloths and a purchasable item to make the finished product. The completed product can then be used by outfitters to make better equipment for players.

These rare cloths are, in rising order of power, Lockweave (coming soon), Shaleweave, and Spiritweave, and the information we have on the Rift Quest for each can be found by following each link.

Crafting Requiring Runeguard Faction

It has recently come to our attention that several crafting quests that required Runeguard faction (Friendly), are no longer requiring this as a minimum. Specifically, we first noticed this on our Cinerium recipe, but looked back at some of our stored crafting recipes (Bronze in particular) and found that the requirement has vanished. At this time, we are unsure of whether this was intentional or not, but the Guardians are all praying to the Vigil that the requirement does not return…. Defiants are researching the issue and deliberating, or whatever Defiants do.

We here at Lordrcane.com will update this information if it changes, but let us rejoice for the moment and enjoy it!

This has been a public service announcement about Crafting in Rift. We now return you to your regularly scheduled carnage and mayhem. Again, at this time, the Runeguard Faction requirements for many if not all crafting recipes has been removed, and we hope it does not return.
